Early Funding

The Project

Fannie Mae plans to replace RATS+ and Profits applications with a single Early Funding application modeled on UCP interface patterns. Primary functionality includes: bulk early funding request upload, request pipeline views, customized pipeline views, request handling workflow, exception queue management, etc.

My Job Here:

I worked as a UX designer on this project to conduct the User Experience Analysis. I identified the views and functionality required by the funding desk, front-office and back-office users.

Designed UI flows, views and interactions in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. Produced design specifications in the form of Agile backlog and annotated wireframes for use in planning and implementation.

The Experience Map

By working with business stakeholders, I designed an experience map. It is an model that serves to illustrate the complete experience a person may have with the product. It helped create a shared empathic understanding of the users’ interactions with the Early Funding System over time.

The User Journey Storyboards

I created the user journey: rough thumbnail sketches which show the primary views and functions in the application. It served as the basis for identifying and documenting user stories, and for identifying individual views to drive the wireframes.

The Wireframes of Main Views

I created a set of low-fidelity wireframes intended to describe the layout and content of views as well as specific user interactions. The wireframes served to specify the flow of screens specific user controls and their interaction model.
